This is Remy. He is the main character of Irreplaceable You, a comic I have started writing. Unfortunately, despite being attached to the name, I may change it. Thanks to an episode of New Girl the name is slightly tarnished for me. Thanks a lot Zooey Deschanel. How dare you ruin the name Remy!
However, I did take the name from my favorite Pixar film; Ratatouille. So the name may have been changed anyway. By the way, is that how you use a semicolon. I have never been sure on how to use one.
Despite this I am quite pleased with his character design and be sure to stay tuned to embark on the bombastic adventures of George! Nope, that's not what I'm changing his name to...

Getting to do some art for a band/artist you have looked up to for a long time is something of a surreal experience. The River Empires is still fairly new but I've listened to their first album, Epilogue, numerous times.
So when, while driving back from Spokane, I was informed by my brother that Jessy, the artist behind The River Empires, Gloomcather, as well as the singer of Falling Up, needed some art for a song he was putting up the next day I jumped at the opportunity. Normally I wouldn't attempt a one night turn around for a piece I was designing but we all do silly things when we are stoked. And stoked is definitely the correct word for my emotions at the time.
Working through the night I was finally able to develop a piece I was both pleased and proud of.
Here's hoping more projects like this come along!

So I haven't posted anything for quite some time but I'll be posting a few new things for a couple of days so stay tuned!
And, without further ado, here is an album cover I had the pleasure of doing for my brother! I've finally figured out how to use paint to texture the pictures so more in that field coming soon!

For the last four years I was blessed to do tshirt for the Chemistry Club at Walla Walla University. The club is run by a group of my friends (including my sister now!) and they gave me free reign over the design. For this year I decided on another movie poster design, which I have been doing for the last three years for the club.
I originally decided to base this years shirt off of the film Metropolis but as I progressed through the design it began to feel more and more Tron like. So I committed to the new direction and even topped it off with a custom Tron font treatment. To all of those in the club I hope you enjoy it!
And here is a bonus design! Last years club shirt. For this one I looked at numerous 1960s spy film covers/posters and based the whole thing off of them. I have always found the 1960s to be one of my favorite eras, particularly design wise, and it was a true joy making a design based off of the era.

I had the privilege a while back to do another poster for the Q Cafe. This time it was for a concert with Shannon Stephens, Lamppost Revival, & Gregory Paul. It was a delight to create and it was one of the first times I experimented with texture. I hope you enjoy it.
